Title: Direct Composites in a world of bonded Ceramics 2004
Outline: In an era of full mouth ceramic reconstructions, many patients and dentists want to improve dental aesthetics, but still conserve natural tooth structure. This course will review the materials and techniques used in aesthetic dental bonded procedures, vital tooth whitening, and the physical attractiveness phenomenon which motivates many patients. This class will demonstrate the art of direct dental restorations and the latest validated information on dentin liners, sealers, bonding systems and treatments. Polymerization techniques, which method is better, slow and low, or high and fast? This class will discuss anterior direct composite bonding with natural shaded composites(are the new composites competitors for ceramic?), small particle hytrids to new nano filled composite materials, placement and finishing. Direct posterior composites, “Heavy body” composites, matrix and wedging systems, placement, finishing, and rebonding.
